mobileStorm, an 11-year veteran of mobile, email, and social communication, announces the release of mobileStorm 5.0, a powerfully designed, cloud-based communication solution for marketers and healthcare organizations.

Los Angeles, CA, Oct. 11th, 2011 – mobileStorm, Inc. (www.mobilestorm.com), a “communication powerhouse” according to the Ford Motor Company, announced today that it has officially released mobileStorm 5.0 (aka mS5), a new, cloud-based communication platform for healthcare payers and providers as well as marketers from a variety of industries. “mS5 has been several years in the making,” says mobileStorm CEO & Founder Jared Reitzin. He continues, “We have studied where digital communication has been headed for the past decade. Now with the computing power of the cloud, enormous amounts of behavioral data can be crunched in real time, resulting in powerful recommendations that can enable any-sized business to reach the right person, via the right channel, at the right time. mobileStorm is working hard to make intelligent communication a reality, and mS5 is the first step towards that goal. Our mission is to create the most intelligent communication platform on the planet.”

mobileStorm’s offering represents the culmination of the company’s extensive experience servicing the messaging needs of major brands such as Humana, New Balance, Ashley Furniture Homestore, and Kaiser Permanente.

Amazing User Experience

mobileStorm 5.0 focuses intensely on user experience. The system was designed with the Apple way of thinking that “less is more.” Designed to be a clear, simple, and easy-to-use tool for messaging, the cloud-based SaaS platform breaks the communication process down into three simple steps: plan, compose, and schedule. Front-end user experience technology such as HTML5 enables the “drag and drop” of many objects, screen slide transitions, and dynamic displays of data. An amazing user experience is incredibly valuable for the healthcare industry where typical enterprise software systems are bulky, ugly, and difficult to use. Mr. Reitzin continues, “We want our healthcare partners spending more time on keeping their consumers healthy and less time trying to figure out how to create and send messages.”

Integrated Communication

“The first phase to achieving our mission of communication intelligence is to ensure our clients can communicate with their customers over multiple channels; and we needed to make sure that the channels were not in their own silos,” says Mr. Reitzin. “With mS5, adding another channel to a single campaign is as simple as clicking a new tab. Imagine being able to run an SMS poll alongside an email offer, and both messages are working together to influence your customers to act. We spent two months alone validating how to provide a multi-channel campaign experience in three steps.”

Advanced Reporting

In the same way that multiple channels of communication have been integrated into a campaign creation experience, mobileStorm took an integrated approach to reporting. A client sending out an email and SMS campaign at the same time can view an integrated dashboard for detailed reports such as open and click-thru rates, message failures and reasons, complaints, and unsubscribe data. mobileStorm’s goal, Mr. Reitzin said, “is to save our clients time and give them what they want–one screen with all of their important information in one place.”

Additional Features:

mobileStorm 5.0 also supports campaign goal-setting, advanced audience segmentation, message personalization, social media integration with Facebook and Twitter, advanced list management, as well as tightened security and one-click customer service. For its enterprise healthcare customers, mobileStorm received its HIPAA compliance in June of this year.

Los Angeles, August 22, 2011 – mobileStorm (www.mobilestorm.com) announced today that it has released a new guide entitled, “Making Healthcare Mobile” focused on extending healthcare into the mobile realm. This guide presents a detailed, step-by-step guide for mobile enabling virtually any healthcare database.

Topics include a history of healthcare’s evolution into mobile, industry rules and regulations, best practices, secure messaging solutions, project overviews, a step-by-step guide to rolling out a program and much more. As the first technology company to launch a fully HIPAA compliant mobile messaging platform that can be incorporated into any smart phone app, mobileStorm explains how virtually any organization can mobile-enable their IT systems.

“As we get further along in our goals of helping our clients save money and keep their members healthy, we are discovering that many organizations have a similar set of questions, concerns and apprehensions with regards to recent industry trends, regulations and capabilities.” said Jared Reitzin, Founder & CEO of mobileStorm. “At our core, we consider ourselves to be educators here at mobileStorm so we decided to create a resource for any organization that could benefit from our experience. This guide is not a sales pitch for our platform, but rather a simple, easy to understand resource that can be used by virtually any organization working in the healthcare industry today. It’s easy enough to understand that it could be used as a refresher on industry trends, but detailed enough to use as a launching point for an enterprise wide rollout.”

mobileStorm is continuing its trend of providing detailed and strategic information to any organization that will find it useful. This guide is available at no charge by visiting www.mobilestorm.com/pr-healthcare-guide.

mobileStorm adds new talent to its executive team to boost its internal capabilities in Client Services, Product Development, and Sales Management.

Los Angeles, May 24th, 2011 – mobileStorm (www.mobilestorm.com), recently celebrating 11 years of mobile communication services and technology, announced that it has added three new members to its executive team. These associates build on the leadership of mobileStorm’s CEO, Jared Reitzin, and create two new department heads for Product Development and Client Services, as well as create new leadership in Sales.

The most recent addition is Gary Holderby, who joined mobileStorm as Vice President of Client Services in January. In the first quarter alone, Gary has improved revenue from client retention by 40% over the same quarter in 2010. His impressive performance at mobileStorm is a result of 25 years of leadership experience in customer service, strategic accounts, professional services, and operations. Prior to joining mobileStorm, Mr. Holderby served as Director of Client Services for The CMI Group, a financial services company servicing multiple industries including both healthcare & entertainment. Before CMI, Gary enjoyed a 13-year career with Qualcomm where he held multiple key management roles in early phase development of world-class mobile messaging strategies for their Client Services department. He attended the University of Texas at Arlington and earned a degree in Business Management with a minor in Economics.

Also joining the mobileStorm executive team with a nice blend of Fortune 100 and start-up experience is Joseph Shavit, who is coming on board as Vice President of Product Development. Mr. Shavit has over 18 years of executive-level experience in product management, marketing, and business development within a wide variety of industries including media, retail, consulting, and technology. Joseph is an entrepreneur at heart and was the founder of Canadian Apartments for Rent Online, eventually growing it to the largest online apartment searching service in Canada and an acquisition by Shelter Canadian Properties Limited in 1998. Joseph is a certified SCRUM product owner and attended the University of Manitoba, Canada, receiving an undergraduate degree in Physics and a Masters in Business Administration.

As another major addition to its management team, mobileStorm has promoted Beth Spiegel to Vice President of Sales. Mrs. Spiegel has over 18 years of expertise in sales management, operations, organizational development, talent management and leadership, with industry experience across finance, retail, hospitality, and technology. Prior to joining mobileStorm, Mrs. Spiegel held management roles at companies such as Starwood Hotel and Resorts, Hong Kong Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC), Petco, Morgan Stanley, and Limited Brands. She attended the University of California, Santa Barbara and Antioch University, receiving her undergraduate degree in Psychology and her Masters in Organizational Management

“Gary, Joseph, and Beth are the type of leaders that quickly and effectively execute huge change within organizations, and our clients are already seeing the benefits of their skills,” said Jared Reitzin. “Our new executives come from a variety of industries and have impressive track records in leading their teams through periods of fast growth and the growing pains that result. We have a very clear plan of where we are going and all three of these accomplished executives do a wonderful job at clearly articulating our vision and clearly architecting its execution. With Gary, Joseph and Beth aboard, I am excited to see how much faster we can accomplish our mission of helping our clients communicate with as much relevancy as possible so that they can reach their organizational goals.”

mobileStorm, an 11-year veteran of mobile messaging, announces “mobileStorm for Healthcare,” a patent-pending platform for Healthcare Payers, Providers, Software Solutions and Mobile App Developers, enabling the secure sending of PHI to smart phones.

San Diego, CA, May 11, 2011 – mobileStorm, Inc. (www.mobilestorm.com) announced today at the WLSA Convergence Summit the official release of “mobileStorm for Healthcare,” a secure mobile messaging platform that allows HIPAA-compliant transmission of PHI (Protected Health Information) to members and patients via mobile devices and smart phones. mobileStorm has developed this capability in response to the healthcare industry’s need to control escalating expenses in the U.S., which totaled $2.5 trillion, or 17.3% of our national GDP, in 2009 alone. Recent widespread technological adoptions such as EMRs (Electronic Medical Records) are assisting healthcare organizations by bringing their processes into the modern age. The mobileStorm for Healthcare platform can “mobile-enable” any system. The communication tools that mobileStorm provides improve the efficiency of treatment and improve the outcomes for providers, while reducing costs to the health plans through lower utilization. The key to reducing utilization is through adoption of wellness programs and prescription adherence.

mobileStorm for Healthcare is a straightforward solution, allowing any developer or IT department to integrate with the mobileStorm for Healthcare API (Application Programming Interface) which can power secure communication between systems such as EHR, EMR, and disease/appointment management tools. The API automates the delivery of AppMail™ messages which utilize AES-256 encryption. AppMail™ can deliver individual health notifications (presentable HTML or plain text) in a one-to-one or one-to-many fashion. In addition, the API delivers real-time analytics on important metrics such as who has read a message and for how long. AppMail™ is delivered to a secure inbox that can quickly be created using mobileStorm for Healthcare’s SDK (Software Development Kit).

The API also enables transmission of Push Notifications and SMS messages in order to utilize cross-channel communication strategies that drive higher response rates. mobileStorm for Healthcare takes a member-centric approach by allowing people to log into any web-connected device containing the organization’s mobile app or mobile site and securely access their inboxes and PHI messages. For organizations without a mobile app or site, mobileStorm offers custom solutions.

“We have been providing communication solutions for over 11 years and in the healthcare vertical for the last three years. We firmly believe that mHealth technology represents the most important social, cultural, and business impact that mobile technology has produced to date,” said Jared Reitzin, Founder & CEO of mobileStorm. “As a Communication Service Provider (CSP), we have worked with thousands of clients in hundreds of different industries which has given us a unique perspective of how mobile affects an individual’s behavior. All of us are patients as well as members, so it’s exciting to see the healthcare industry realize the massive impact that mobile can have on our behavior.”

As part of the official launch of mobileStorm for Healthcare, Humana has agreed to become a Beta customer in order to strengthen their efforts to help Humana members achieve lifelong well-being. Christopher Nicholson, Humana’s director of strategic communications, says “Humana is excited about the messaging capabilities that the secure mobile messaging center will bring us. This partnership will allow us to deliver on multi-channel goals where we have not had a solution in the past. The ability to reach members ‘where they are’ with relevant, personalized and proactive communications is critically important. mobileStorm is a wonderful mHealth vendor who truly wants to help us succeed.”

Mr. Reitzin continues, “mobileStorm for Healthcare represents the culmination of our experience, and we are confident that it is the most advanced HIPAA-compliant mobile platform available. Our company’s mission is to help our clients communicate with as much relevancy as possible, and with this new offering, I believe we are one step closer to completing our mission.”

mobileStorm for Healthcare is being unveiled and demonstrated at the WLSA Convergence Summit in San Diego, California, on May 12, 2011. For more information on this event or to schedule a meeting with a mobileStorm representative, visit www.mobilestorm.com/wlsa.

mobileStorm releases App Accelerator, a unique product that helps companies increase adoption of their mobile app for devices running iPhone OS, Android, & Windows Mobile. .

Los Angeles, March 24th, 2011 – mobileStorm (www.mobilestorm.com) announced today that it has released its new App Accelerator product. App Accelerator enables organizations that have developed a mobile application to dramatically increase their download rates, either during the initial launch of the app or after the app has already gone live.

App Accelerator provides businesses a unique and creative way to identify which mobile operating systems their subscribers are using. With this valuable data, mobileStorm helps its clients communicate with their subscribers, serving up a URL to download an app instantaneously and directly to their device. mobileStorm provides detailed reporting on the effectiveness of the service, such as number of subscribers reached, number of clicks, and number of installs of each mobile OS.

“We love creating new and innovative ways to make messaging more relevant for our clients and their subscribers,” said Jared Reitzin, Founder & CEO of mobileStorm. “App Accelerator has received very positive feedback. With Apple’s App Store approaching 400,000, clients have expressed frustration with trying to get exposure. The largest ROI comes from communicating with people in the way they wish to be reached. As a Communication Service Provider (CSP) it’s our job to help our clients communicate with as much relevancy as possible, which is why we provide a multi-channel communication platform and launch products like App Accelerator.”

App Accelerator cuts through the noise and drives results. Find out more about mobileStorm’s App Accelerator and other products by visiting www.mobilestorm.com/app-accelerator.

mobileStorm releases a comprehensive analysis of the mobile healthcare technology trends and innovations that will be making waves in 2011

Los Angeles – mobileStorm (www.mobilestorm.com) announced today that it has released its 2011 mHealth Report. This report presents a detailed analysis of emerging and established mobile healthcare technologies and the ways that healthcare partners will be using them.

Topics include mobile health monitoring, telemedicine, mobile medical equipment, RFID, health & fitness applications, secure mobile messaging, electronic medical records (EMRs), social health communities, smartphone applications, personal health records (PHRs) and much more. As one of the premier solution providers in the healthcare industry, mobileStorm adds its own analysis of the many concepts, technologies, applications and platforms that exist; as well as barriers to expansion and future trends.

The report goes into great detail regarding all of these categories and gives concrete data that anyone working in the healthcare industry can use. For example, it provides specific case studies on how national healthcare organizations have reduced expenses related to major medical conditions by as much as 77 percent. It also explains how smaller practitioners have increased the service provided to their patients while stabilizing their bottom lines; all using mHealth technology.

“We really enjoy developing and sharing our industry research. We saw a lot of success with our 2010 Mobile Marketing Report” said Jared Reitzin, Founder & CEO of mobileStorm. “These deep industry dives help us plan for future product developments, and enable us to work with some world class companies. With this report specifically, I am very encouraged by the data, as it shows the massive potential that mobile has in the Healthcare space. There are a lot of high walls to climb, maybe more like mountains, but there is so much opportunity for so many companies that it’s very inspiring. I am excited to share this definitive guide to where the mHealth industry is going and what it will become.

As a thought leader, mobileStorm is continuing its trend of providing detailed and strategic information to any organization that will find it useful. This report is available at no charge by visiting www.mobilestorm.com/2011-mhealth-report.
