How-To: Create a Coupon Campaign

Create a Coupon Campaign

Additional Services > Coupon Management

1. Click on "Create New Coupon Campaign".

2. Give your coupon campaign a name, and select a list. The selection of a list is used for reporting purposes.

3. Specify a date and time to stop the coupon campaign. These dates and times is the time frame a user has to redeem the coupon.

4. Next, you need to set the usage limitations for each coupon. If you want each coupon to be used once, enter '1' in the provided box. In this example, each customer who receives a coupon can only use it once.

5. For the next step, you need to specify what kind of coupon discount it is. You have three options. (Flat Dollar Amount, Flat Percentage, Tiered Discount). Click on the "Learn More.." link for more detailed information.

- Flat Dollar Amount: This option sets a coupon campaign to have a flat dollar amount discount. e.g. "Get $10 off using this coupon." You can choose from a "Puchase amount" or "Purchase count". In this example, the customer will receive $5 off when they spend $30.

- Flat Percentage: This option configures a coupon campaign to have a flat percentage discount. e.g. "Get 10% off our set up fee if you use this coupon code." In this example, the coupon is good for 15% off when you purchase 5 items.

- Tiered Discount: This sets up coupon codes which have tiered discount amounts, depending on total purchase amount or number of items purchased. Examples: "Get 10% off if you purchase at least $50 or 20% if you spend at least $150." Or "Get $20 off if you spend $200 or $50 if you spend $400." And last "Get $10 off if you buy at least 5 of this product or get $30 if you buy at least 9." Note: this also means that the coupons will NOT go into effect until the minimum is reached so make sure you are aware of this before selecting this option.

6. Click on "Continue" once you have selected all the options.

7. This next step is for uploading custom information from a POS system. If you do not have any information, you would like to upload, click on the "Skip Step" link.

8. This next page is where you specify how many coupons will be created, and how they will be formatted. Only 10,000 coupons can created per campaign. You have two options. You can have mobileStorm create the coupon codes for you (Dynamic Coupon Generation) or you can upload your own coupon schema from your POS system. (Import Coupons from POS system).

Also, you have the option to create a "Coupon Landing Page". This page is hosted by mobileStorm and will provide functionality for your customer's to input the coupon code.

Dynamic Coupon Generation:

Generate Alphanumerically: Use this option if you would like to have your coupon codes generated with letters and numbers. Ex. Ut76nh

Numeric Range: Use this option if you want your coupon code to be just numbers. Make sure that you specify a big enough range for the subscriber's on your list.

9. Click on "Continue" once you are done choosing your coupon schema.

10. If you choose "Yes" for a Coupon Landing page, then you will reach this step. If you have selected "No", you will be returned to "Additional Services > Coupon Management".

This next step allows you to customize your landing page.

Fill out information about your promotion in the "Page Copy" area. This is where you write instructions for your subscriber's to redeem the coupon. Also, choose if you'd like to have your company logo displayed.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and choose a "Template" or specify a test and background color.
