HOW-TO: Make a 'Wireless' form

Add a Wireless Form:

Manage Forms > Wireless Form

Wireless Form
A Wireless Form is a method of using wireless devices (nokia sidekicks) to capture specific information about subscribers for a specific list. Information gathered with a wireless form is automatically populated in to your database.

Step 1.

Select List: Choose the list you wish to tie to the form. If you haven't created a list yet, then you need to go to the List Manager section to do so.

Step 2.

Choosing fields to capture: This section is entirely up to you. You can choose which demographic information you want to capture. Make sure that you preview your form to make sure you have selected all the right fields.

Add Custom Field (Optional): A custom field allows you to find out specific information about your subscribers that aren't covered in the default fields listed above.

Display: Choose whether or not to make the field active (Display) or disable it for the time being (hidden)

Is this an open ended question?: Use an open ended question to allow people to write whatever they wish.

Add answers: Use this if you said No to the question above.

Can a subscriber select more than one at the same time?: Depending upon what you want to capture you can allow users to choose more than one answer or simply make it a single choice. Either way, the information will be captured for targeting.

What do I do after I have created my form?

Preview: See what the form will look like before you finalize it.

Send HTML Source Code: If you want to have the form integrated into your existing site, then you can give your webmaster this code to do so.
