In just over two weeks, Silicon Beach Fest 2014 kicks off in Santa Monica, California. And this year’s event is expected to draw scores of startup CEOs, accelerators, VCs, movie and music studio execs, agencies, developers, designers, and some of the biggest influencers from around the worlds of mobile technology, marketing, and social media.

Commencing June 18th, Silicon Beach Fest is an event that celebrates the best of L.A. tech, entertainment and startups with the usual assortment of panels, keynotes, workshops, and mixers.

This week, mobileStorm CEO Jared Reitzin was announced among the latest respected industry leaders tapped to appear at the Fest. Reitzin will appear on a mobile messaging panel at Silicon Beach Fest 2014 on June 19th.

Reitzin, who founded mobileStorm in 1999, has been among the vanguard of mobile marketing innovators for the last 15 years and plans to share ample insight with regard to the notable growth of mobile messaging in Los Angeles.

“With recent acquisitions of Viber and WhatsApp, the tech community is paying closer attention to the rise in mobile messaging and associated advertising opportunities,” the panel’s organizers explain. “Specifically, we’re seeing a trend of investments in the Los Angeles-based mobile messaging arena – SnapChat raised $100 million, TigerText raised $20 million, and Whisper raised $20 million.”

Reitzin and other industry authorities on the panel will delve into why Los Angeles is attracting mobile startups and how the mobile ecosystem is developing across Southern California.
