mobileStorm Selected as Finalist for Patrick Soon-Shiong Innovation Award

We’re proud to announce that mobileStorm has been nominated as a finalist for a Patrick Soon-Shiong Innovation Award, which recognizes leaders in innovation in the Los Angeles area.

We’re among a dynamic group of companies that include the likes of Hulu, JibJab Media, Zestcash and several companies innovating within the healthcare space.  The original pool of nominees totaled 80 companies, with 15 now remaining and one to be named the winner during an awards ceremony scheduled for early next month.

For those unfamiliar with Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong, he’s a surgeon and entrepreneur who has a long history within the healthcare industry.  He was founder, chairman, and CEO of Abraxis BioScience, a biotechnology company developing cancer treatments and was also co-developer of the metastatic breast cancer treatment drug Abraxane.  Prior to this, Soon-Shiong founded American Pharmaceutical Partners (APP) in 1997, which he later sold.

We’re extremely honored to be a part of these awards, and proud to be among such distinguished and innovative companies.  We’re also honored to be recognized for the advanced communication technology we’ve developed, especially in regards to the healthcare industry where we’ve created one of the first HIPAA-compliant secure mobile communication platforms.

The winner of this year’s Innovation Award will be announced on November 3rd.
